Maybe not in one day but...

definitely in one week. Well, not to jinx ourselves, but it seems that Audrey is relatively potty-learned. She's been wearing big girl panties all week and only had 2 accidents. And she's even been going places without her pull-ups. We're so proud of her! And she's excited to get her prize - HSM Gabriella's car...

Hopefully I can find figure out what she's wanting and then find it!! :-S

7 mo. Well-Child Check Up

Stats:
Date: 01/15/09
Height: 24 inches
Weight: 14 lb. 2 oz.

So, the appointment with the doc went relatively well. We found out that he finally gained some weight and it was considerable - 10 oz. in 10 days. Yeah!! But he still hasn't gained lots and more importantly, had fallen off his growth curve in both weight and height. He's portioned well and otherwise hitting all of his milestones. So we are seeing a therapist to see if we can get this kid to grow some more. Currently he gets to keep nursing as often as he wants (still every 2 hours, for only 3-4 minutes) and have increased his meals from 3 to 4 times a day (you were right Mom & Niki). He gets cereal with formula at breakfast and night time and we add 1 tsp. of formula powder plus some cereal to his fruit and veggies for lunch and dinner. We go back tomorrow to see if he's put on any weight!

By the way, don't we all love the boy's tie?! Thanks a million Aunt Nicole!!

Luke in January

Well, the boy as accomplished a lot in January. He learned to roll from front to back and vice versa, he got his first tooth to finally come through and stay, he freaked out his mom with his amazing will to resist (see 7mo. Well-Child post) and has endured his sisters - although it won't be the last, I'm sure.

Of course, one of his greatest accomplishments being the roll - I took a bunch of pictures. If you get it to go fast, you can kinda see it. :) (You'd think he was my first kid!)

Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam

As of the beginning of January, Jesus wanted Audrey as a Sunbeam. She is completely excited to be in a new class at church. Of course she misses Sister Butz, but she's glad to have Aunt Niki as her Primary teacher.

Even with Aunt Niki as her teacher, she was only going to move up as long as Katie was there too. So far, she as loved it!!

(A Sunbeam is the 3 year old class at church and there is a children's song, "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam!")

Fun & Games

Today was just one of those days that I hope to have more of in the future and that my girls remember too. I am trying to make sure that we turn all the media off for a while each day. Some times I do better than others. Aunt Lisa and Annie came over for a little while and the girls played dress up and babies and trucks and Little People. And then tonight we played Junior Monopoly with the girls. It was so fun! Grace was loving to count; Audrey was loving to hold all of her money. But the best part of tonight was that at the end, the girls were both so sad because they didn't get to give all of their money away. If only we were all a little more willing to share and give...
